SPONGEBOB, MASKED MEN BEAT NBA PLAYOFF TV RATINGS: Dwight Jaynes of the PORTLAND TRIBUNE confirms what most of you already know: Less and less of us are watching the NBA playoffs.

Jaynes: “You probably know that to the rest of the country, they’re not very important. At all. Even though the Western Conference series has provided great drama, the television ratings are, I think, embarrassing.

Jaynes then has the sad specifics for David Stern on the TV ratings for the first week of May: “Both hours of WWE Raw were watched by more people than any of the NBA games. One of the other Jazz-Warrior games finished behind an episode of ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ in eighth place.”

Right, and the last time we checked, as Jayne also notes, the steroid monsters and Spongebob don’t have the benefit of being reported on by the media.
