NASHVILLE ALLOWS DEATH OF GAYLORD ENTERTAINMENT: The NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN reports that the city of Nashville wants no part of the entertainment of Gaylords. That is, the city has “unanimously approved a proposal by the Predators to change the name of the Gaylord Entertainment Center to Nashville Arena.”

Having lived in the South for over a decade, I thought I knew the place. But after reading this sad story (and watching the Borat RV scene), I’m now convinced that shocking social prejudice still exists within our borders, and like you, I’m none to happy about it.

So long sweet Gaylord *waves*. As we war against the scourge of cultural injustice, you are now our inspiration.

UPDATE: After watching the performance of Mike Modano in the Gaylord Entertainment Center last night, perhaps Dallas would consider taking on the name.
