ESPN Radio host Steve Mason, co-host of KSPN’s “Big Show” in Los Angeles, has background on the Hollywood Madam Jody “BabyDol” Gibson, who is releasing a book tomorrow that alleges Tommy Lasorda, Ben Affleck and Bruce Willis all used her service.

Mason notes in his KSPN-AM blog that Gibson’s mother “is a well-known talent agent/manager named Tobe Gibson, founder of Young Talents of New York.
“Babydol’s mom works mostly with kids, and she’s credited with discovering and managing the early part of Thomas Mapother’s career. Today, the world knows him as Tom Cruise.”
“Jody’s goal was to be a star, and she was frustrated by her mother’s inability to do for her what she did for Tom Cruise. She believed that her mother’s notoriety made it impossible for her to become a celebrity in New York, so she came west.”
Mason writes Gibson’s prostitution service helped pay for her numerous and increasingly pathetic attempts to break into the entertainment business (she once bought a billboard promoting herself on Sunset Blvd.) and as a fashion designer.
