It’s been a month-long struggle, but fans from across the nation will soon see a champion - of Darren Rovell’s minor league baseball logo contest.
After an opening round bracket of 64 entries, the final showdown over at CNBC.com has come down between the Southern Illinois Miners of the Frontier League and the Wichita Wingnuts of the American Association.
Both teams come from independent minor leagues, meaning no major league affiliations and, more importantly, no MLB money coming in. Consider this face-off like a Final Four with non-BCS teams.
And both squads are relatively new to the baseball world, with the Miners only in their second season of existence, while the Wingnuts have yet to even bolt onto the field for their first-ever game.
America, you still have a chance to make your choice! The polls are open until 9 a.m. ET Wednesday. So, let your voice be heard! Will the Miners strike gold, or will it be the Wingnuts flying high?
UPDATE: Miners Win!
