Just last season, Michigan set a Big Ten Tournament record by holding Minnesota to 40 points. This year, the Wolverines rewrote the record books - but scripted themselves into the wrong column.

Wisconsin badgered Michigan to a 51-34 defeat on Friday, setting a new tourney mark in field goal futility. To be fair, the Big Ten tourney is only 11 years old. But, still - only 34 points?!
Even the football team scored 34 points or more four times last season - the same squad that lost to Appalachian State. Then again, this is the basketball team that gave Northwestern its only Big Ten victory all year.
We knew the Brickyard was in Indianapolis, but we thought it referred to the Speedway, not UM’s shooting performance at Conseco Fieldhouse.
With such an anemic effort, maybe the Wolverine men need women’s coach Kevin Borseth to come on over and bring some of his passion:
