SITE OF OPPONENT DEMOLITIONS NOW A DEMOLITION SITE: The MIAMI HERALD has the news that the University of Miami is moving home football games to Dolphin Stadium, effective next season.

The decision removes “the last marquee tenant” for the Orange Bowl “and could lead to [its] demolition.” To lure the team-Bernie-built north, Dolphin Stadium officials agreed to find a title sponsor for the facility “and a neutral name is expected to be chosen by 2010.”

Sadly though, the stadium baseball infield dirt will be removed “within a few years after 2010.” Infield cutouts just seemed apropos to us for one of college football’s dirtiest progams.
