It has to sting. The Daily Herald was beat to a story by a guy who spends most of his time hanging out at Southern California beaches taking pictures of hot chicks and huge boobs. How he got into Derek Jeter's private luxury box is anybody's guess.

The line up that night -- Bill O'Reilly, Kirk Herbstreit, Roger Goodell and -- Brooks? Something just ain't right there.

Anyway, with that Daily Herald headline, you would have thought Brooks' story was about Mike Royko coming back. God rest his soul.

But save the quotes, Brooks, you can refer to them after Mariotti's first Tribune column in September about how Lou Piniella's stomach intimidates umpires.

Mariotti sucks.

But he made a good move fleeing the Sun Times right before it filed for bankruptcy. Ask my mother who has 28 unpaid days off from the STNG this year.

Instead of recycling this jackass, why not look for fresh talent?
