Marathon Hottie Wins Third, But First In My Heart

The New York City Marathon was today, and if watching skinny people put their bodies through hell isn’t your cup of tea, then you missed the emergence of a new star in women’s distance running, and she’s pretty easy on the eyes.

Kara Goucher

Kara Goucher, a native New Yorker, didn’t win the race — she was third. But looking at these photos, is it any surprise the cameras focused on her all morning? (More pics after the jump.)

You might remember Goucher from being hit on by an unidentified member of the Redeem Team, and I can’t say I blame them.

She turned in the best ever debut for an American in this race, and became the first American to stand on the podium since 1994. Paula “The Pooper” Radcliffe was first, while Brazilian Marilson Gomes dos Santos won the men’s race. But I think we know who the real star is.

She ran well today… I think she's too fast and fit for you.

First thing I would do to her is feed her.  Put a little meat on them bones.

Having no breasts must help cut down on wind resistance.

I bet it was Jason Kidd hitting on her. Just a feeling.

She's pretty muscular. I'd watch what you guys say about her, or she'll easily kick your ass.

Not every hot female athlete has to have big boobs or a nice curvy butt. But it is nice to have those kind of gals, too.

I'd run 26 miles, 385 feet to get her number.

Kara is cute, but I wouldn't say she was the cutest U.S. Olympian. Alicia Sacramone gets my perfect score.

From what I could see, there were quite a collection of lookers legging it during the marathon.

people who run all the time lose all their weight.

in the marines, even the biggest marines lose all their weight when they go to drill sergeant training, and run many miles a day. ( i think i got all that info correct)

This girl is amazing! I read 6 specific words about her and it has thrust me into distance running. My thoughts will be of her victories personal and professional in 2010 when I finish Boston waaaaaaaaaaaaaay after her! I hope she wins it and has the most amazing baby after.
