A followup on a story that came out Monday afternoon about the ice dancer who was drugged at a business meeting in Orange County: Oksana “Pasha” Grishuk told her story to ICENETWORK.COM yesterday, saying she felt “paranoid” and “shocked” that the man she shared dinner with would slip a date rape drug into her drink.

Grishuk said that she had dinner with a 60-year-old businessman who she knew and trusted for two years. She wanted to start her own line of natural vitamin supplements, but apparently the 60-year-old man — whose name the sheriff’s department is withholding — had other ideas for the night.

According to her, she got there late and her business associate convinced her to buy a drink. She then had the hostess carry the drink from the lounge to their table when it was ready. She said she never left the table, although she does admit there were times she wasn’t paying attention, such as fumbling through her purse looking for a business card or checking her cell phone to see if the babysitter (of her 5-year-old daughter) called.

Once her entree arrived, she ordered a glass of red wine. Then the dinner companion left to use the restroom, which later to the police he admitted he took Viagra, then returned to the table in a “nervous state”. After she started feeling chest pains, she noticed the pill at the bottom of her glass of red wine. As she got up to leave, she took the pill out of the glass and went for the hospital, at which her companion said “Just throw the pill away.” The pill was confirmed to be GHB, but her toxicology results are still pending.

The 60-year-old is a “person of interest” in the case and no arrest has been made yet. Although it looks damn likely like an arrest will happen soon. And it’d better — this was attempted rape.
