ANGRY HS FOOTBALL FATHER HITS FIELD TO HIT PLAYER: Many adults want to reach out to high school students in trouble - but not by slugging them in a football game:

WKYT-TV has video of a Kentucky man running onto the field and hitting a player during a high school contest.
50-year-old Kirby Thompson was arrested for disorderly conduct for invading the field during Friday’s game between Wayne County and Garrard County.
Thompson, who has a son on the Wayne County squad, was apparently upset at a rough hit a Garrard County player laid on a Wayne runner. A scuffle started to break out between both teams, when Thompson ran on the field, pulled away a Garrardian, and swiped at the young man’s head.
Coaches shooed away Thompson before he was cuffed by deputies. Although Thompson was released on Saturday, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is reviewing the tape to see if more charges will be levied against the fighting fan.

We’re not sure how much damage the delirious dad was expecting to do, since his intended targets were wearing pads and helmets.
