to Lucie: at least the U.S. didn't roll over and let another country take over our homeland - we fought (admittedly with help) to gain independence. There's a big difference between the cowardice of willingly giving up something you've already earned vs. earning it initally. And France 'helped' with U.S. independence in France's typical way; by forming thin alliances with rivals of rivals to insideously undermine efforts of one, without directly 'helping' the efforts of another. That is fact, and proof of French timidity and passivness; French national treasures!!
