Spencer Hall of THE SPORTING BLOG punches up video of Kimbo Slice taking it to Tank Abbott during Saturday night’s MMA fight in Miami:
Last Saturday night, the bouncer-slash-porn producer bodyguard took less than a minute to flatten Abbott, much to the delight of Kimbo’s hometown crowd. So much for Tank’s pre-fight prediction: “On Feb. 16, watch the way Kimbo crumbles.”
Since the match was so short, we had to find something entertaining about the quick bout. And the TV announcers didn’t disappoint.
In analyzing Abbott: “Which version of Tank will we see tonight - Sherman or septic?”
And in describing Slice: “He’s out to prove he’s got more game than a wildlife preserve.”
Wow. We’re at a loss for words.
Meanwhile, the SOUTH FLORIDA SUN-SENTINEL reports that 6,187 fans showed up to the BankUnited Center, setting a new gate record for the University of Miami’s facility. Maybe this will give the Hurricanes new ideas on improving bland basketball attendance.
