I hate block-quoting an entire piece, but you really have to, to get a full sense of what happened:

That's nonsense. If the whole piece should be read, say "To get a full sense of what happened, read the whole article". Then provide a link and move on with what you have to say.

Taking huge chunks of content and posting it on your commercial site is theft and if everyone keeps doing it, Washington is going to come down on us with a draconian DMCA-style law that cuts into legitimate uses of quotes.
