The WASHINGTON POST’s The Reliable Source reports on Kevin Johnson’s new fiancee, D.C. Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee:
She’s a 39-year-old divorcee and mother of two. He’s never married. No kids.
She has no plans to move to Sacramento, where Johnson is mayor and currently dealing with (another) scandal within his admin. Johnson of course was a mainstay with the Suns, so here’s some initial reax from Phoenix on the just-released revelation.
Interesting that Rhee won’t be moving. Does that mean we can expect Johnson running for future office that would cause him to relocate to The District? Wouldn’t surprise anyone. It’s a reasonable assumption that Johnson wants to continue to move up in his political career, and a job in Washington would make sense - considering the rather weighty baggage Johnson seems to be saddled with in Sacto.
On second thought, maybe D.C. ain’t such a great idea.
