Tennessee’s DAILY NEWS JOURNAL has more info today that indicates the mistress of Steve McNair, Sahel Kazemi, was dead set on moving in with the still-married McNair.
Excerpt:
On the day of her DUI and the day police said she bought a gun, Sahel Kazemi posted all her furniture to Craigslist under a headline: ‘NICE FURNITURE. TV, COUCH, COFFE TABLE AND MORE - $1 (hermitage).’
The cell number listed in the ad matches the number police got from Kazemi, 20, on July 2 when she was arrested. It was later that day that police said she bought the gun that was found beneath her body.
Family members have said she was getting rid of her furniture because she was planning to move in with McNair. She listed a flat-screen TV, couch, dining room set and coffee table for sale.
So now the question pops up, why would she buy the gun on the same day she was selling her furniture - presumably to move in with McNair?
More than one source has indicated McNair never had any intention of divorcing his wife Mechelle. So Kazemi’s furniture sale appears to indicate a lack of communication between the former quarterback and his mistress.
Perhaps this set Kazemi up to be blindsided when McNair told her he was not going to live with her. Or that he was breaking things off. We may never know, but the superficial details look to be setting up that way.

She probably sold the stuff to get money to buy the gun.
Its also consistent with someone who is suicidal.

VERY good point trevor, and if I recall correctly the police said the apartment was pretty much cleaned out, correct? She seems like a completely naive’ 20-year old with fairytale dreams…unfortunately McNair simply looked at her as a ‘ho on the side’ and was going to play this thing out as long as possible, considering his wife had no clue. If a 30-year old mistress heard ‘yeah baby, we’ll move in together as soon as I get a divorce…and I can’t do it right now because of some legal hangups, and I want to make sure we have as much money as possible when we’re together’, would likely roll her eyes at that line of B.S.

what a crock o sh*t….Steve was wrong I agree, for even having the extra marital affair…but what gets me is this….SHE WAS A FLIPPIN’ kid….. when I was 19-20 y.o. you could’ve have told me one thing…but I only heard what I wanted to hear. yes it was initially her fault for his death….but I think he put the ammo in her hand by stringing a child along….when you play…you pay…. and too bad for his family….that his irresponsible playing…got hem killed…. two senseless deaths….

If I was McNair’s wife, my ass would be laughing all the way to the bank. NO cheating sorry ass husband, and now an inheritance of an insurance policy, house, etc. Sometimes good people do have the last laugh.
