John P. Lopez of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE says that maybe the Astros would be better off without Roger Clemens, should he retire, noting that Houston was only 15-17 in regular-season games he started in 2005. What he fails to mention is how many of those 32 games the ‘Stros, who made the playoffs by one game over the Phillies, would’ve won with a pitcher who didn’t sport a 1.87 ERA, best in the league by almost half a run.
