The Rays swept the Red Sox in their first series in St. Petersburg on Apriil 25-27. The Red Sox swept the Rays at Fenway on May 2-4. So the teams have split their series so far. No team has won a road game. I'm more worried about the Rays beating the Orioles this weekend. A Rays sweep would be great, as the O's are 2.5 games behind the Rays in the AL East right now. The Rays are 2.5 games behind the Red Sox. I never expected the Rays to win the AL East... but a wild card berth would be great, just so I could see you write about it. And who knows? Maddon may figure out how to beat the Red Sox in Fenway next month. Joe Maddon has beaten the Red Sox already this season.
