Jeter Stalker Gets Four Years for Racist Hate Mail

If there’s one thing the internet teaches us — especially when we read popular but not entirely sophisticated sites — is that perfectly normal people, people you might wave to as you come out of your house, go absolutely insane when they have a Gateway at their fingertips. You name it, you’ll hear it: Racism, sexism, NAMBLAism — there’s nothing too degenerate or evil to say on the internet. It all comes out.

Most of the time it’s harmless. Other times, not so much. Consider the arrest of Ohio resident David Tuason — after sending over 200 angry, racist emails to mixed-race celebrities seen with white women, including Derek Jeter, Tuason is getting three years and 10 months in prison.

A man who wrote racially hateful letters and e-mails to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter has been sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison. David Tuason apologized for his behavior in federal court Tuesday, saying he never meant to hurt anybody. He said he sent the threatening letters because a black man “stole” the girlfriend he planned to marry.

Tremendous excuse! This one time, at elementary school, a little German kid punched me in the nose. I decided it was high time I started hating EVERY German for the actions of one particular person. And then I decided, you know what? That’s not really reasonable. And I was in second grade.

Which means it took David Tuason approximately 40 years to learn what most reasonable people do in 10. Combine that, blatant racism against people he doesn’t know, and a dash of insanity, and you get one spectacularly epic Fail of a human being.
