Some Cowboys fans (and New York newspapers) like to believe that Tony Romo’s relationship with Jessica Simpson is a distraction & detriment to their team. Now, Dallas basketball fans better bewarr, as the pair has been seen cheering on the Mavericks.
KCAL-TV’s John Ireland caught up with the QB & his gal pal during last Tuesday’s game against the Lakers, and got their quick thoughts on the proceedings.
Romo admitted this was the first Mavericks game he’s been to. Although he remarked that Kobe Bryant was “outstanding” and “fun to watch“, Tony told John his loyalties were with Dallas. On the other hand, Jessica wasn’t as decisive:
“Yeah, I live in L.A., I’m a little torn, I’m a little torn. But I want him to be in a good mood tonight, so I’m going to have to go with what he says.”
Nice to see Jess stand by her man. Tammy Wynette would be proud.
Simpson’s indecision was probably why the game finished so close, but since she picked the Mavs, of course they’re the ones who ended up losing 102-100.
Romo further told Ireland that he hopes to be back at some more Mavs games, especially during the playoffs. If Tony does return with Jessica in tow, expect a quick first-round exit.
Just like last year. But such is the power of Jessica Alba.
