SPELLING BEE FAVORITE IS SHAQ’S MISSPELLED NAMESAKE: The National Spelling Bee starts tomorrow and ESPN picks up coverage on Thursday, when we all start watching.

This week’s top potential sidebar is a slam dunk - as one of the favored competitors, according to CNBC’s Darren Rovell, is named Jasmine Shaquielle O’Neal Willis.

Her name is spelled differently than her NBA namesake, and you would like to assume that isn’t a misspelling. Rovell also notes “Shaquille hasn’t been among the top 1000 baby names in the U.S. since 1996, it was actually in the top 500 in 1993 (180), 1994 (235), and 1995 (457).“
