JAPANESE FAN FAKES JOB TO STEAL FAV PLAYER’S GLOVE: A Japanese baseball player had his glove stolen from his house by a fan - without anyone breaking in:
GAIJIN POT reports that Atsushi Fujimoto of the Hanshin Tigers had the glove grabbed by a fan visiting his home. The man posed as an employee of a sports equipment company, and was able to convince the player’s wife to hand over the mitt.
42-year-old Kazuhiro Tanaka was arrested on suspicion of fraud, and he eventually admitted to the theft.
We wonder what Tanaka would have done if he wanted a jockstrap.
