GATORS & JAGUAR QUESTIONED ABOUT FLORIDA SHOOTING: A Jacksonville Jaguar and 3 University of Florida football players were questioned by police about a shooting in Gainesville last Saturday night:

The ORLANDO SENTINEL reports that Jaguars safety Reggie Nelson and the three Gators were asked by police for info regarding the shooting outside a Gainesville night club. Nelson, a former Gator, was in town to watch his alma mater lose to Auburn, 20-17.

The attack left two people in the hosptial - one in critical condition after taking a bullet to the head.

However, the Gainesville Police Department says the four footballers are not suspects, and none of them have been arrested. A spokesman confirmed, “They were never implicated in anything. We wanted some information from them, they supplied it and left.”
