Who replaced Marino at Pitt or Aikman at UCLA. Thats right who cares. Lose lose situation. 3 year starter under one of the hardest schemes in the NFL much less college. He has done a good job as QB but Quinns JR SR years are hard to follow. No way you can win with the talent he had his frosh year. To much on his plate as a soph. Hyped up Jimmy WILL get drafted and WILL be a good NFL QB but I always thought Dane was the better QB. Don't get me wrong, I'm a ND homer but I'm a realist. Jimmy was never the answer for ND's failures on the field. A simple sit down with Meyers wife for coffee and cake would have solved this issue 5 years ago. Admin was the failure for ND. We had a walk off home run slip through our hands and we will be haunted by them for years unless we learn from our mistakes. Clausen was the #1 QB recruit coming out of high school and was expected to take ND to the next level, a level they never reached. If in fact this is Charlie's last year with ND, most likely many project Jimmy Clausen to enter the draft. If Jimmy enters the draft you can expect Golden Tate to leave as well. ND could possibly be looking at starting all over with a new QB and new wide outs. I am not one that would advocate for Jimmy Clausen to enter the 2010 draft since it's obvious in many game this year that he is not ready for the NFL. Even 1 more season under a different coach could have a lasting affect on his career and draft status. Even with a different coach, Notre Dame has a good chance to win next year.
