But the Gazelle Group insisted that they were to play FIU. They felt that it would be a better TV draw. The REAL story is that when Thomas had his introduction press conference, he addressed the game vs OSU, and claimed that they had to "jump into the fire" to play with the big boys of the Big Ten. Recently he said that they would play UNC in 2010 or 2011, but not now. The last paragraph of this article says it all. My message to Isiah – if you want to have a shot at UNC, you better do it NOW, not next year, when the baby Heels grow up a bit.
