Roids aside.....the article is talking about the magical powers of HGH and how it helps these guys heal faster. It will not bulk you up like Mcguire......but it will heal you faster.. something these guys need with an 82 game season. All I'm saying is if the NBA ain't testing for it........someone is abusing it!

The roids issue in baseball is way, way overblown.

It is true that MLB is held to a higher standard than the NFL and NBA. It's also true that athletes from the past couldn't compete in the major leagues today.

this article couldn't be more wrong, due to the fact the majority of players are all lean muscle. Yea there are a couple of bruisers like Howard, Shaq, and Wallace, but if you ever go to a game and see these guys, they are so skinny. I went to see the Hornets play and every single player on there team with the exception of David West was skinny as a twig. And see the start celtics 5 they are all lean muscle. And the size trend in the NBA has been this way for a long time.

Horace Grant was not that much smaller than Ben Wallace. <a href="http://sportsmed.starwave.com/media/nba/2001/0516/photo/a_horace_i.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://sportsmed.starwave.com/media/nba/2001/0516/photo/a_horace_i.jpg</a>

Man, Dwight Howard was Stronger and more athletic than Patrick Ewing when he was in 8th grade. My little sister was stronger and more athletic than Keven McHale and Kurt Rambis when she was in the 8th grade. Any 'roid freak can find their way into pro baseball and football, but to be in the N.B.A you have to have one attribute that most people will never possess ABNORMAL HUMAN HEIGHT MIXED WITH AN ABILITY TO DRIBBLE A BASKETBALL AND RUN WITHOUT TRIPPING OVER YOUR GIANT FEET. Very few people in the world have both of these qualities, so it stands to reason that they may be able to build more quality muscle than the rest of us. Especially when most of them make more money than wallstreet ceo's, and only work 82-100 days a year. Give me that kind of free time, mixed with that kind of money, mixed with that kind of natural ability and maybe I could turn this fat sack of crap I call a body into something the decent without shrinking my sack
