IRISH EYES ARE CRYIN’: It was great fun attending the Notre Dame-Washington game Saturday. But it wasn’t that memorable of a game, because the Irish were in control most of the day, claiming a workman-like win.
One of the few plays I’ll remember from the game was the very first by Notre Dame. Backed up on their own 1-yard-line after a Washington turnover, the Irish executed a spectacular 13-yard pass play to tight end Anthony Fasano, who leapt over a Husky player after a catching a short pass from quarterback Brady Quinn.
Turns out the play was memorable in more ways than one. Read and get ready to weep.–9/26/005
