1:45 PM The Baton Rouge Advocate reports that LSU is looking into possible violations by the Tigers football team. A.D. Joe Alleva says the investigations involve an assistant coach (possibly WR coach D.J. McCarthy) and a player who hasn't played this season.

1:30 PM Seems the LAPD is trying to stay in shape by tackling cyclists during Critical Mass rides: "Witnesses claim that there was no announcement that riders should dismount nor any attempt to signal out riders that were lawbreakers, just an attempt to randomly grab cyclists and detain them."
