A Manchester-based prostitute alleged to London’s NEWS OF THE WORLD last Thursday that she had sex with married Manchester United star Wayne Rooney from June, 2009, to last November - when Rooney’s first child was born to wife Coleen.

21-year-old Jenny Thompson claimed to the British tabloid that she first met the 24-year-old Rooney at a Manchester casino before eventually having sex with the Premier League player at a local hotel.

When Rooney asked Thompson to meet up with him after their initial contact, Thompson claimed to NOTW, “I said yes but told him it wouldn’t be for free. He texted back saying, ‘Fine, that’s not a problem.’ Then he asked if my friend would like to join us and she agreed.”

A week later, Rooney had a sexual rendezvous with the two women. Rooney reportedly continued to pay Thompson for sex until his first child was born in four months later. News of the World did not reveal why Thompson had waited 10 months to provide her story to the tabloid.

Before Rooney was married, he admitted to patronizing a prostitute in Liverpool. Then-girlfirend Coleen forgave Rooney of the indiscretion.

Since News of the World broke the claims of the prostitute Thompson, there’s been myriad, contradictory reports of the reaction of Rooney and wife Coleen by various British tabloids and main media outlets.

Rooney, who has yet to comment publicly on the claims of Thompson, makes well into seven figures on the endorsement front. From the LONDON DAILY MAIL:

His two largest sponsors are utterly blue-chip. He has a four-year deal worth £600,000 a year with Coca Cola, and Nike pays him around £1million a year.

Prostitute Thompson’s claims have yet to produce material evidence, but Rooney’s subsequent silence could be an ominious sign for his marriage and his off-field endorsement career.
