We’re in New York at the moment so like every single last one of you in the tri-state area, we’re tuned in to the bloviating wonderment that is Mike Francesa and Chris Russo on WFAN.
During their show (1-6:30p!) yesterday, the flatu-rific pair interviewed SI.com’s Jon Heyman, who volunteered perhaps a little too much information when it came to Pedro Martinez’s physical condition.
We heard Heyman’s remarks live, and METS BLOG has the fantastical details:
“During his weekly appearance on WFAN yesterday, SI.com’s Jon Heyman said Pedro Martinez has looked great in camp. However, according to Heyman, Martinez woke up earlier this week and didn’t feel well, and left to have a colonoscopy. “Everything is okay, though, “Heyman said. “He’s in very good spirits.”
Martinez is only 36, so we’re guessing he felt pretty damn awful to go through with what isn’t exactly a pleasant procedure.
Sorta the way we felt watching this.
It’s also safe to say that Red Sox fans’ Colon may have them feeling uncomfortable this summer.
