“Hand” Of Mugshotted Gator Goes On Rampage

The ORLANDO SENTINEL reports this morning Florida redshirt freshman defensive tackle Gary Brownfaces two counts of misdemeanor battery for allegedly slapping a woman and scratching another Sunday morning.

Gary Brown Florida Gators Mugshot

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brown, 19, at 7:23 a.m. after his open hand struck the face of a woman trying to kick people out of a party, according to the police report. Another woman intervened and got scratched by Brown as he attempted to slap her arms away, according to the report.

So wait, why didn’t police just arrest Brown’s hand?

Brown, who spent all day Sunday in jail awaiting a court appearance, has been suspended from the team.

The co-defendant on Brown’s police report faces a felony charge of larceny grand theft of a fire extinguisher. An Alachua Sheriff’s Office clerk said the extinguisher was allegedly used to spray people.

Urban Meyer’s ‘leave of absence’ to have a cell-phone motherboard surgically-implanted into his brain enabling text message reception is looking pretty good right about now.

And people talked about how crooked and corrupt Miami’s program was in the 80’s & 90’s…Florida has them beat in terms of arrests BY FAR and this is just within the last 3 years.

Arrests are not good, but they are clearly not dispositive. Convictions and/or settlements are. So, before Danny goes and starts spouting crooked and corrupt, let’s let the facts get in the way. Also, when you uncover someone paying Florida players based on defensive plays and turnovers, please let me know. When a steroid scandal happens in Gainesville, let me know. If Florida players come off of any plane if battle fatigues or get 15 penalties in a half of a bowl game, let me know. If there’s a fraudulent phone scheme, let me know.

The holier than thou approach that someone such as a Gator fan has - is hilarious.

A team gets off a plane wearing fatigues .. didn’t realize that was worse than stealing the credit card of a dead girl and using it. A team sets a record for penalties in the Cotton Bowl .. didn’t realize that was worse than shooting guns into occupied apartments -or- getting out of your car and firing your AK-47 into the air b/c you felt “threatened” by a guy who you dwarf in size and already beat down in a club -or- repeatedly punching your pregnant girlfriend in the face when she tries to exit your car -or- not being able to wait for the impound to open so you break in, take the car of your g/f back without paying? He’s lucky the owner of the impound is a huge Gator fan and tried to make it out to be no big deal - but he still got death threats in the mail from Gator fans about the incident. Very stupid comment as well by the owner to try and cover this up by saying “It’s like going to breakfast at Cracker Barrel and when you go to leave there’s no one there to take your money. How long are you going to wait?” Ya, great analogy idiot - nice to see you’re one of those people that does that, as an ADULT?

Exactly how naive can you be if you don’t think the $50 or more handshake occurs by boosters/alumni/etc. to players at major schools? Esp. when you have idiots such as Chris Rainey, who paraded around Lakeland bragging before the state championship game, saying “Damn it’s good to be Chris Rainey” - when talking about how people just give him free stuff, money, food, etc. to a newspaper. That’s only in high school - but no, it never could happen at a college such as Florida, right? A bunch of kids abuse phone calling cards .. didn’t realize that was worse than 2 players from the school (one from the basketball team, the other is the star returner Brandon James) selling/buying drugs from undercover agents -or- a QB from the school stealing a laptop from another student, spray painting it black and then painting his own name in white letters on the computer. I know, I’m going to go steal a 7 Series BMW, spray paint it black, then spray paint my name on it in white letters - that means it will be mine, right?

There’s not enough space or time to post all the other 20+ arrests of Gator players on here.

And before any Gator fan says anything about Urban kicking some players off the team for their actions - uh, the coach down at Miami only had 1 player get in trouble with the police since he’s been there, and that player transferred. Breaking the side mirror on a parked car in a parking lot is hardly up to snuff with any of the things the Gator players did to be arrested. It is along the lines of what Jermaine Cunningham and Jon Demps did, by throwing a sandwich at the guy behind the counter that made it … just stupid acts, nothing serious.

Before you try and paint your school better than any other, look at what the actions were of the 27+ arrests since Meyer took over. But then again, Meyer only takes the “top 1% of 1%” right?
