Aaron Rodgers Decides To Send His Agent Packing

Now that Brett Favre is finally out of his hair, Aaron Rodgers can rightly take his place as field general for the Green Bay Packers. And now that he’s finally the man, Aaron has done what any star player would do - fire his agent to get something better.

Liz Mullen of SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY reports that Mike Sullivan was given a termination letter from his quarterbacking client on Thursday. On Friday, Sullivan, who’s been Aaron’s agent since the Cal QB was drafted in 2005, confirmed that his services were no longer required by Rodgers:

“Aaron has decided to go in a different direction as far as an agent,” said Sullivan, Managing Dir of Octagon Football. “While I am disappointed with his decision, I wish him the best.”

But deep down, we bet Mike shares the same sentiment towards the new leader of the Pack as certain young fans in Green Bay do.

Now that Aaron is currently agent-less, who’s going to step up to rep up?

There is speculation in the industry that Rodgers will sign with agent Tom Condon of CAA or agent David Dunn of Athletes First, but a CAA source said that agency has had no contact with the quarterback.

If Rodgers comes out of the regular-season gate reeking of poor on-field performances, Condon or Dunn or whoever may want to hold off booking any Stetson shoots or Mastercard commercials.
