The event was meant to kick off the FBR Open, a week-long party atmosphere wrapped around a PGA tournament.  However, the ARIZONA REPUBLIC and 12 NEWS in Phoenix report the dinner was quickly ended as roughly 700 patrons were hustled out of the tent and CPR was administered to the 30-year-old man. He was pronounced dead an hour later.

The acrobats worked without a safety net for the night’s performance. Police are interviewing witnesses and looking for possible equipment failure, though there is no suggestion of foul play to this point.
