Gold Medal Ice Dancer Drugged In Orange County

TMZ is the only one on this story — and now us! — but it appears that ice dancing sensation Oksana “Pasha” Grishuk was drugged at the St. Regis Resort in Orange County a couple of weeks ago.

According to the OC sheriff’s office, Grishuk ordered a glass of wine, left it for a minute, then came back and after a few sips she noticed a “half-dissolved pill at the bottom of her glass.” She then started feeling numb, and sick, and wheezy, and icky, and was rushed to the hospital.

The Ukranian-born Grishuk won the gold medal in ice dancing for Russia at the 1994 and 1998 Olympics. There’s not a lot of info out there as to what she’s done since, although some of her little projects have all involved figure skating.

Normally these sorts of beautiful figure skaters have all sorts of sometimes creepy fans, as well as jealous men who fancy her company. It’s tough to say who specifically would have any motives for drugging Grishuk, but in the 90s there was some heavy tabloid stuff around her, including having an affair with her ice dancing rival, whom she later paired up with on the rink, and his dancing partner, like totally skated with her old partner, and it was like soooo messy.

Certainly more details will surface as the story develops.
