I’m back in Miami today after my week-long jaunt to the Virgin Islands. I had an unusual sighting the last day down there - getting eyeballed by Sam Cassell on one of the more secluded beaches:
As you would expect, the views were as spectacular as a Shonda Schilling ensemble:
And just when you think the Islands are all about natural beauty, you stumble upon red-hot tourist attraction like this one:

Almost as much *fun* as watching another playoff run from St. Croix’s favorite son.
I’ve really enjoyed my trip to America’s corner of the Caribbean. Being in Miami, I decided to shoot the SbB Girls there this spring, and I’m not done yet. I’ll be back there later this month and also in June, before I move back to Los Angeles (and hopefully another trip to Hawaii very soon - or beyond).
For my move from Miami to Los Angeles in late June, I plan to drive my car back, so if you have any suggestions on cool, out-of-the-way places I should visit along the way, let me know. I’m debating whether to drive right through in 3-4 days or make it a longer trip and stop at a few places - and possibly attend some sporting events.

(Should Miami-to-LA move include visit to New Orleans Pelicans?)
But I’d prefer off-the-beaten-path stuff. Maybe minor league baseball, music festivals, etc. Something that would make for interesting posting.

It might be a bit out of your way but the Clearwater Threshers, Philly minors, have a beautiful field in Clearwater, Fl. They have a pretty decent team and there are lots of things to do in Pinellas County. You could possibly catch a Rays game too if you have time to stick around. Nice beaches and good restaurants are plentiful.

Good call. I love Clearwater and Tampa. And Ybor City is very cool.
