REEL MOVIE NEWS shares some interesting info about Gisele Bundchen’s burgeoning film career. Apparently, the gal pal of Pats QB Tom Brady is on the verge of landing what’s sure to be her breakout role - as the female lead of the next “Austin Powers” movie.
Reportedly, (the) Brazilian beauty already has been given the script; her agent will meet soon with Mike Myers and director Jay Roach.
This is very surprising - we thought three “Austin Powers” flicks were enough. Maybe Myers is already hedging that his new movie “The Love Guru” will be a dud. (It opens on June 20, if you want to see for yourself.)
Gisele has already had roles in “The Devil Wears Prada” and “Taxi” (not the Judd Hirsch-Danny DeVito TV series, we hope). We’re not sure how Gissy’s performances went, since we have no interest in viewing either picture.
But we’re confident she’ll make a fabulous fembot. She has the look - and likely the same acting range.

She was miserable in both movies. She was, in fact, so bad in ‘Taxi’ that she made Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon look like Meryl Streep and Morgan Freeman. I really hope there is no truth to this.
Also, I thought the trailer for ‘The Love Guru’ looked funny, no?

Its pretty clear that the Austin Powers franchise is looking to continue its proud tradition of being less funny and employing increasingly less talented actresses that also happen to be overrated in the looks department with every sequel.
The only problem is that now that they played the Giselle card it looks like Paris Hilton is the only option for Austin Powers 5.
