Over the last week I’ve talked to a lot of people who are extremely happy that Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States. Yes, there is plenty of love to go around for the President-elect because he’s not George W. Bush, and like a new head coach, all the fans love him before the season starts. Once the games start, though, opinions have a tendency to change as people suddenly remember a President can’t do everything he promised.
Which is why Gilbert Arenas may one day regret the decision he made on Friday night. You see, earlier this year when Gilbert said he wasn’t going to vote he wasn’t being serious. In reality Agent Zero is a pretty big Obama supporter. Did I say supporter? I meant to say Gilbert is thisclose to stalking him.
From the WIZARDS INSIDER BLOG:
I walked up to Arenas to see what got Thomas so worked up and looked in amazement. Arenas has decided to show his permanent support of President-elect Barack Obama with a tattoo. Arenas had the words “Change We Believe In” tattooed onto the fingers of his left hand in cursive writing. Then, Gilbert showed the outside of his pinky finger, which had “44″ inked on it.
Arenas shortened Obama’s campaign slogan, “Change We Can Believe In,” choosing not to add ink to his thumb. Arenas has “change” written on the outside of his index finger; “we” on the inside of his middle finger; “believe” on the inside of his ring finger; and “in” on the inside of his pinky and “44″ on the outside of his pinky. In case you didn’t already know, Obama will be the 44th POTUS.
Gilbert went down to Miami on Friday night to have the tattoo done, but the ink is just the beginning of Gil’s unhealthy obsession with Obama. If you think getting those tattoos is nuts, you should visit Arenas’ house.
Arenas has gone all out for Obama, adding that he hired an artist last week to paint a mural with Obama’s family on one side and Arenas’s fiancee and children on another side of a wall in Arenas’s house. “He united people,” Arenas said of Obama. “By him winning, it showed the world that we’re not as racist as people think we are. I think that’s the beauty of [the election]. Not just because he’s the first African American president. America is not as bad as people think we are.”
Yes, and I’m sure you’re not as crazy as America thinks you are, Gilbert. Just to be safe, though, I think Barack should avoid attending Wizards games while he’s in office.

Maybe Gilbert can get a job with Obama's Secret Service detail and call himself Secret Agent Zero.

Or if Gilbert got a investigative job with the FBI or EPA, he could be called Field Agent Zero.

I won't believe Gilbert Arenas is that obsessed by Obama until he changes his jersey number to 44.
