German Train Stopped To Replace Beer Tap For Soccer Fans On Board

BEER TAP MISHAP ALMOST DERAILS FUN FOR FOOTY TRAIN: A train carrying German soccer fans had to make an emergency stop to fix vital equipment. A derailed wheel? Hand brake problems?

How about a broken beer tap?

Beer Train

The LONDON GUARDIAN serves up news that a train carrying fans of the Bayer Leverkusen club was faced with a malfunctioning spout on the way to a match in Hamburg. Instead of facing the prospect of no beer for the rest of the journey, railway officials decided to halt the train and immediately fix the problem.

The trip ended up being delayed for 25 minutes, as a replacment part was driven to the train by taxi. Officials said to have chose this course of action as to “not endanger the good mood” of the travelers.

Can you imagine Amtrak doing this?

But in ironic twist, Bayer Leverkusen fans were let down by beer yet again, as their club ended up losing their cup elimination match 1-0 to St. Pauli.
