German Soccer Team Boot Neo-Nazis From Arena

The German people have, let’s say, an “interesting” past in regards to race relations, especially when it comes to supporting groups whose main political platform is exterminating an entire race of people. So it’s no surprise that the German government has taken a hard-line stance against the neo-Nazi movement since WWII. The latest in their war on those who hate: Werder Bremen, a German soccer team, has officially put eight neo-Nazis on the “banned from the stadium” list.

Illinois Nazi

(Also not great: Illinois Nazis)

The neo-Nazis in question made the mistake of attempting to push their own personal beliefs (many of them shockingly racist!) on the rest of the stadium crowd by trying to unfurl a “German imperial war flag often displayed by rightist groups and a neo-Nazi sign”.

Awesomely, other fans saw what was going on, stepped in the way and prevented the sign from going up.

More from THE CANADIAN PRESS:

“We are proud of the alert action of our fans and we see ourselves justified in our preventive work against discrimination and racism,” Werder said.

For shame, neo-Nazis! Hitler would be disappointed. At least he was somewhat reliable when it came to following through on his plans, whether it was getting the trains to run on time or killing a whole bunch of people.

And as for the future plans of the Werder club?

The club is consulting with the German football federation to see if the ban can be extended to include stadiums across the country.

So there you have it, neo-Nazis. Either learn to love your fellow man - haven’t you heard? racism is over! - or never see your beloved soccer team in person ever again. The choice is yours, you crazy knuckle-skinheads.
