From Tragic To Whack: Rangers Fan Bullies Kid

An hour after a fan narrowly escaped death by plummeting 30 feet out of the second deck of the Ballpark at Arlington while chasing a foul ball, an adult fan was seen at the same game pushing a young boy through a wire fence while pursuing a home run ball.

In a weird coincidence, that home run was struck by Nelson Cruz.

It was Cruz’s foul ball that also led to the unidentified male earlier tumbling out of the upper deck. (More on his condition here.)

UPDATE: ESPNDallas.com’s Tim McMahon Tweets to SbB: “That guy made nice by giving the kid the ball. The sideline reporter (or whatever it’s called in baseball) had them on later.

I’m gonna stick up for the guy. That’s a pretty steep hill in Arlington and is very slippery (watch everyone fall). It is hard to avoid shoving in to someone else and it certainly wasn’t done on purpose. Now if your argument is that anyone over 20 shouldn’t be chasing after HR balls…. ok that’s a different story.

This guys is a fucking loser. How old is he? Trampling a kid for a Nelson Cruz HR Ball ? A man his age should be in the outfield bar chasing snatch not HR balls.

I was watching the game on TV. On top of being way too old to be that desperate to get a HR ball, this jerk in the yellow shirt elbowed this little boy out of the way hard and knew it was a little kid before doing it. And it looks like he may have hurt the kid. Steep hill or not, what he did to that little kid was chicken-s**t.

And I bet there is tape out there of that fan falling. Not sure I want to see it.

The kid had to find out how the real world works sooner or later. Welcome to life, son.

If you’re over 13 and running for home runs, you are a dick.

The people who are actually taking the side of the adult fan in this are clueless, would they feel the same way about it if it was their kid or a relative or someone else they knew?

Love the kid in the red hat who comes into the frame way late … seemingly just for the fun of sliding into the pile.

Yes I would feel the same way if it was my kid. Anyone who has been to the ballpark there in Arlington knows that it is a scrum in center field for HR balls just about every time. If you choose to jump in that… then tough crap. And where do you people see his elbow go flying. Doesn’t happen. He falls over toward the ball.

Is he too old to be out there.. probably.

Brooks is an idiot and the rest of you took the bait he gave you. The kid wasn’t “bullied”. The man slipped on a steep grassy hill. Go figure morons. OMG WHAT A BULLY!

Brody-welcome to life, you don’t always win. Even if it is a 40 year old loser that beats you…………….
