Admit it - you’ve wanted to punch Frank Beamer in the face before. In this day and age, how high and mighty do you have to be to stay with the same school for 22 years? And just who does he think he is, winning his third ACC championship in his fifth season in the conference?
That’s redshirt senior Cory Holt with the strong right hook in an attempt to keep Beamer grounded. And lest you think it didn’t hurt that badly, Holt is the team’s third-string QB, so the arm strength is there. Thank God he didn’t accidentally lance Beamer’s goiter, otherwise the entire sideline would have been showered in something other than Gatorade. (Video after the jump.)
Beamer’s Hokies punched their ticket to the Orange Bowl with a 30-12 beatdown of copycat Big East cast-offs Boston College. That’s the worst possible matchup for the ACC brass, who scheduled the game at Raymond James Stadium, expecting at least one of the Florida teams to do something worthwhile. But FSU and Miami came up short, and the Sunshine State was a little more occupied with a certain SEC championship, so that meant a half-full stadium. Ain’t that a punch in the face?

The whole point of the ACC's divisional realignment was to ensure a FSU-Miami title game - a matchup that has yet to happen.

Goiter comment sounds like something from a 3rd grader. Beamer was a victim of a terrible gas fire in his garage at age 7 and was lucky to survive it. His neck and face scars are result of a large skin graft. Get your facts straight and grow up a little!
