Found! Pacman Jones Begins Alcohol Treatment

(MOMMM! We found him!) Calvin Watkins of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS reports this morning that, “Suspended Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones will begin alcohol treatment today at an undisclosed location in the Dallas area, according to a source.

Pacman Jones

Lest you think though that Jones actually has an alcohol problem. Or that he’s doing this on his own.

Watkins reports thatthe league has required Jones to go into treatment following his fight last week with his bodyguard in a hotel bathroom. Dallas police were called to the scene and determined Jones was drinking.

Jones, who was out of sight for most of this week, has people like Deion Sanders trying to help him make an appeal to the NFL for reinstatement after his four-game suspension is up in a month.

This is the apparently one of the first steps in showing Roger Goodell that Jones’ deserves *another* chance. Of course, the league is requiring the move, so it isn’t exactly a forthright move of the troubled DB’s part.

So just so I’m straight on this. The NFL has finally figured out what’s been wrong with Pacman Jones all these years: The finely-tuned, world-class athlete who plays the most physically taxing sport on earth for a living is … an alcoholic?

Pacman doesn't have a drinking problem. He seems to be doing it quite well.

This guy has a serious problem. He needs all the off-field help he can get.

If this whole ordeal was happening to a team other than the Cowboys, I'd be surprised.

If it happened to any other team you'd be surprised?

How about the Vikings or the Bengals?

    Would they surprise you?

Ironically, the the names of the bodyguards assigned to Pacman were Jack Daniels, Jim Beam and Johnnie Walker.

Not to be a downer or anything, but alcoholism is a serious disease. My brother had a terrible time suffering through it. But through love, support and proper treatment, he's been completely dry & sober for over two years now.

If alcohol is indeed the cause of Pacman's perverse behavior, then good luck to him getting through this.

If not, then throw the bum out. Good luck in the Arena League!

Pacman can always try a comeback in the CFL. Look what we did for Ricky Williams!

He has more than a drinking problem! Lets see: Anger, abuse, strippers, rages, drinking, drugs, spitting, and these are only the ones we know about! He doesn't deserve another shot in the NFL but he does deserve another shot at life!
