GILBERTBURGERS TO MAKE A COMEBACK IN MILWAUKEE?: Former Green Bay Packer Gilbert Brown will once again be prowling the sidelines:

WBAY-TV reports that Brown will be named the new head coach of the Milwaukee Bonecrushers of the Continental Indoor Football League.
Brown spent 10 seasons on the Packers’ D-Line, throwing his 300-lb weight around in two Super Bowls. But the big man’s biggest contribution to Northeast Wisconsin was undoubtedly the introduction of the Gilbertburger:

Local Burger Kings began selling the meaty treats in the late ’90s, when Gilbert-Mania was at its peak. The burgers were comprised of a Double Whopper served with a double dose of everything else - cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup and mayo. But NO PICKLES!
Although the sloppy sandwiches are no longer sold, feel free to make one on your own, if you dare.
BK’s gargantuan sandwich was based on Gilbert’s favorite snack during his college days at Kansas. With Brown’s return to the field, maybe Milwaukee-area food joints will bring back the burger.

And it’s good to see the trend of jumbo Jayhawks ruling the sidelines continue.
