Luis Sharpe played 12 years in the NFL and made three Pro Bowls. The native Cuban was arrested in November for smoking crack. In an adult bookstore.
He was arrested a second time in February, but this time, he didn’t get off.
On Friday, he was sentenced to six years in jail.
From SPORTINGNEWS.COM:
In a pre-sentence report, Sharpe admitted that he first started using cocaine when he was a 21-year-old rookie in the NFL and it was “the worst mistake I ever made.”
Sharpe has been convicted of nine felonies since 1995 and spent several months in prison after a drug conviction in 2000. He also was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in prison in 2004 on other drug charges.
How can you blame this guy for doing crack? He played for the freaking Cardinals. And going into an adult bookstore, well, you can figure that one out. I bet when you’re that high, the wall of dildos looks amazing.
