TampaBay.com and the ST. PETERSBURG TIMES reports that former University of Florida track athlete Erin Stern is now a competitive bodybuilder.
Erin Stern, a high jumper for the Gators from 1999-2003, is a rising star in the world of fitness. Among other things, she placed sixth in the figure competition at last year’s Miss Olympia.
On Friday , Stern, who lives in Ocala, will compete in the Arnold Sports Festival (named for Arnold Schwarzenegger) Figure International division, which is being held in Ohio.
In addition to competing for a title inspired by a man with orange clown hair, Stern told Bodybuilding.com last September she still aspires to represent the U.S. National Team in the high jump.
I jumped 5′11″ in the high jump during the 2008 season, just missing the Olympic Trials qualifying standard by 3cm! I look to compete for Team USA next year in Israel.
If you look at Stern’s non-competitive shots, she’s definitely an attractive lady. But the melanoma precursor pics I can do without.
In the same interview with Bodybuilding.com, Stern talked about why she loved to workout: “It’s a great stress relief.”
Agreed. Her bodybuilding is a great stress reliever for a lot of us.
