Today, he’s in jail and, according to him, flat broke.

MLIVE.COM tells us that McLain was arrested for failure to appear in civil court on Friday. The former pitcher told police that he didn’t have the money to post bail, but somehow managed to leave on bail about five hours later.

Livingston County Sheriff Bob Bezotte said Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies showed up at McLain’s home in Hamburg Township with eviction papers and to seize some property. While doing that, police discovered a warrant had been issued for McLain’s arrest. Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home to arrest him.

“He’s been very cooperative,” Bezotte said.

He’s probably being cooperative so he doesn’t end up like this guy.
