They are also competitions. I'm sorry you don't like them. Note that just because an activity isn't part of the Olympic Games, does not necessarily mean that it is not a sport (e.g., softball, rugby). They are competitions. Like a beauty pagent or a car show. The participants are most definately athletes, some of the worlds best. But anything that is judged on appearance and obtuse definitions of who is better or more talented is a competition.
