If Vick, who is already charged with three felony counts related to dogfighting, doesn’t accept the government’s offer, he will face additional charges. Under the current indictment, he is looking at five years in Federal prison and a $250K fine
Additionally, the NYT notes: “When indictments are brought against several defendants, legal experts said that prosecutors were more likely to seek lighter sentences for the first defendants who decide to help their cases. Because Vick could be the last defendant to make a plea, he could face the longest sentence.”
If Vick rolls over, he’ll serve 1-2 years in Federal lockup, and according to Bill Romanowski on KLAC-AM this week (audio link), soon be signed by the Raiders thereafter.
