"But as far as wild nightlife goes, ponder this: Green Bay girls vs. Atlanta girls."

...so Favre liked black chicks?

Jerry used to joke with "Mi'ssippi" that it would take a couple of plane crashes to get him in the game. He didn't want Favre, he wanted Browning Nagle as I hear it. The drinking certainly didn't help, but Glanville did not want to play him. And I know Green Bay thinks they know a party. But as far as wild nightlife goes, ponder this: Green Bay girls vs. Atlanta girls. In Green Bay, a man can look around a bar and say, "yeah, guess I'll go home." So yes, Brett Favre was better off in Green Bay, but his problems did not disappear. They were slightly moderated, and the coach recognized potential.

Glanville is a dips. I believe Ron Wolf initiated this deal. There are no Chili Joes in Green Bay. There's a Chili Johns.
As we all know BF's trade to GB did nothing to stem his drinking, or other escapades. That took a seizure in a hospital. Oh, well, ancient history.

does excessive drinking lead to chronic choking?

Whether or not Glanville is trying to make up for a "mistake" is moot. The fact of the matter is Favre wasn't going to play in Atlanta due to the fact he was immature and didn't take football seriously. He has said himself if he hadn't left Atlanta he probably would've died. At the time, the Falcons had a pretty good QB in Chris Miller, they just ran a crappy offense and had virtually no running game. It looks like a bad trade on the surface and didn't work out AT ALL for my Falcons, but I believe Favre was very happy with the outcome. It would've been great had he stayed here and developed as he did. Who knows what might've happened. But he didn't and speculation on the 'who, what, where, why, and how' is just that. Believe me, there are a lot of stupid transactions that took place. Everybody just points to that one as if it was the real reason for continued mediocrity. It was just one of far too many and believe me, I know what I'm talking about. I've been a Falcon fan since 1969.

Oh yeah, and to the idiot that STILL wears a Favre Falcon jersey to many home games, LET IT GO! For god sake, the man was here for a cup of coffee. It's not like he actually played and did anything here. Potential & a dollar might get you a Coke. Blunder by the coach & front office, yes. THE thing that hindered the franchise, a resounding HELL NO!!
