Fan Isn’t Ready To Give Up #537 Back To A-Rod

The run of bad luck continues for Alex Rodriguez. Not only has he been linked to Madonna and stuck in a hitting slump, but when he does something good something still goes wrong.

The Yankees drama king belted his 537th career home run, passing Mickey Mantle for 13th on the all-time list, but he won’t get the memorable ball without a struggle. A Toronto Blue Jays fan has the ball and he’s planning to get all that he can for his prize.

The Rogers Centre customer who has Alex Rodriguez’ 537th home run ball that sent Rodriguez past Mickey Mantle into 13th place on the all-time list wants to talk to Yankee lawyers before he thinks about turning it over. When a Yankee official approached the fan and asked for the ball, the fan requested a meeting with Yankee lawyers and indicated he wanted to be reimbursed before giving the ball, which isn’t authenticated, up.

Teams usually give people autographed bats, jerseys, or tickets in exchange for historical or meaningful home runs that a player wants to keep. In this day and age asking for a gas card would be more appropriate.

If there’s been one positive to A-Rod’s weekend it’s that he got to spend some time with his oldest daughter Natasha Alexander.

Alex and Cynthia are trying to do what’s in the best interest of their children, so we should be seeing plenty of pictures of them together in the future. From the look on Cynthia’s face, I’m guessing that there won’t be much talking.
