Sept. 12 ESPN2 will debut two new shows. One will be a personality-driven production hosted by Dan Le Batard and the other will be akin to ESPN2’s current SportsNation property.
The latter, called Numbers Never Lie, will feature daily appearances from a former player and an expert with the half-hour show hosted by the beautiful Charissa Thompson. NNL will air weekdays at 3:30p ET, with Dan Le Batard Is Highly Questionable airing at 4p ET.
Thompson, who turned 29 last month, has an extensive resume covering a wide swath of sporting endeavor, including the NFL, college football, MLB and the NHL. Thompson’s big career break with Numbers Never Lie came from Jamie Horowitz and Kevin Wildes, who created ESPN’s popular SportsNation franchise.
It was also Horowitz and Wildes who hired the lovely, talented and fair-haired Michelle Beadle to co-host SportsNation.
Le Batard’s show, which will be based in Miami and was developed by PTI and Around the Horn creator Erik Rydholm, will include on-air appearances by Le Batard’s dad and a set designed by the ESPN personality’s brother.
